Headed up by Martin Sutcliffe, who has worked in quality assurance for over 20 years within the utilities and financial services sectors, the practice delivers solutions to organisations who require support with their approach to QA, whether this is around streamlining services, reducing costs or resolving capability gaps.

The new practice will deliver experienced and cost-effective resources, along with a service catalogue with tangible tool deliveries to allow clients to be self-sufficient and effective when it comes to QA. This comprises the augmentation of existing teams with dedicated Iridium QA resources, providing managed QA services, supplying dedicated teams to support in areas such as non-functional testing, and specific consultancy services.

Providing clients with an independent view on the QA activities being undertaken within their organisations, Iridium’s new service will allow them to quickly tap into highly skilled and experienced test resources as-and-when required, without the need to take on significant numbers of permanent test resources. And whilst the new Iridium QA practice provides a bespoke and personal approach to solving clients QA needs, its ultimate goal is to embed new processes into businesses’ QA approaches to enable them to be self-sustainable in the long term.

Martin Sutcliffe, Iridium’s QA Practice Lead, who started his career in quality assurance when he worked for British Gas, comments: “Taking on the lead role for the QA practice at Iridium is a huge honour for me, where I can be involved in building a function from the ground up by harnessing my many years of experience within the testing industry.

“We are already working with a number of clients, like Vanquis Bank and Jaja Finance, to help deliver QA processes into established organisations. We are committed to giving clients across a whole host of different industries cost-effective, quality solutions to their QA needs through our bespoke and personal approach. My team has the knowledge, skills and resources to deliver quality solutions quickly for clients - without the need for reinventing the wheel every time.”

Sinclair Elliott, Iridium Director and Co-Founder, concludes: “The introduction of the new QA practice is part of our strategy to provide complete end-to-end IT solutions for our clients in line with changing business and technological needs. This is the natural next step and the first practice in our pipeline as we continue to fulfill our business strategy.

“We’re delighted to have Martin on board, driving forward our QA practice. Having worked with him in the past, I was already aware of his impressive work ethic and drive to succeed, and it’s fantastic to see our clients already enjoying the benefits of his experience and knowledge.”
